To book an appointment on TripMedic with a healthcare provider, the only information you need to share is your name, email, gender, and date of birth. You also have the option to enter additional information, like your insurance carrier, to help you find just the right healthcare provider.
To make sure we’re always improving TripMedic, we also track how you use the service – such as the time of day you schedule your appointment, the specialties that you book most often, and the type of device you use.
TripMedic takes great care of patient information. In fact, the data encryption we use is based on the same standards that banks use to safeguard your financial details. A TripMedic team member can only view your personal information if helping you directly or helping a healthcare provider with an appointment you booked. We want everyone – regardless of role – to remember that patient trust and protection are our highest priorities.
For our core service – appointment-booking – we share your name, insurance details (if you provide them), date of birth, sex, and chosen appointment time with your doctor.
We may also use aggregated or personally de-identified data for projects that can benefit the world, like studying disease patterns or contributing to public health initiatives. And in the future, we might work with partners to help us accomplish these things.
Rest assured, we will not share your personal information unless we have your consent or are required by law to do so. We never sell your personal information to any third parties.
