The following terms and conditions constitute the User Agreement (“the Agreement”), between you (the “Customer”) and Health Connection S.L. (the “Company”), who is the owner and operator of (the “website”). This Agreement governs your use of the services offered by the Company and your use of the website. By using the services offered by the Company and by using the website you confirm that you agree to comply with and be bound by all the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement and with the Company’s personal data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

The website is a multi-faceted platform that assists you in the selection of a medical professional internationally, who speaks your language and has the right speciality. Upon your request, the Company will book appointments on your behalf with the medical professional required. This could take place at a private clinic or hospital or else the medical professional can visit you on location at your hotel, apartment etc… , upon your request and subject to availability.


The Company does not handle cases of medical emergencies and if you require emergency medical assistance you should go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Related to the Video Assistance Service,

The Service enables you to use the services proposed by the Supplier and provided by the Doctors. By requesting the service through the contact form Users fully accept these Terms and Conditions unreservedly.

The User, through the Web portal has the ability to:

The User will be able to communicate with a Doctor, not in order to obtain technical advice and therefore not exhaustive, but subject to an actual medical examination using a video call service.

The payment method provided is Paypal, through the TripMedic Website. The doctor gives the mandate to collect payment through the platform prior to the video assistance meeting.

For any doubts and / or questions the dedicated customer care service is available from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:30 CET and at the phone number displayed on the website.

Once the service has been accomplished, Users will be able to leave feedback through the feedback form sent by TripMedic once the video assistance service has been performed to describe their experience on the job carried out by the Doctor, whom it is hereby stressed being self-employed and not to be considered as an employee of TripMedic.


Once you have made contact with the Company, you will be asked to provide certain information, to enable us to book an appointment for you based on your location, language and medical requirements.

The Company will select a suitable medical professional and proceed to book the appointment. You will be notified of your booking details via email and you will be asked to click on a link to confirm your appointment date and time. This is important because it enables us to keep the doctors’ appointment calendars accurate and shows us real availability for other customers who depend on our service.

If you are not able to receive an email, we will confirm the appointment by sms.

The email will also contain a link to a Patient History Record (PHR) which you will need to complete prior to the consultation. The PHR is a compilation of general information, medical history, lifestyle and other information which is used by the medical professional before or during the appointment to help him/her better understand your medical status and therefore ensure that you receive the best possible care.


Please remember that you have the right to consent or refuse consent to any proposed treatment, test or therapeutic course and you should discuss any questions or concerns directly with the medical professional.

Personal Data & TripMedic Account

The Company will create and keep an electronic medical record on your behalf and parts thereof will be securely accessible by you directly through the TripMedic platform upon creation of an TripMedic account.


To set-up your account you will need to provide an email address and create a password (these are called your credentials). You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for notifying us if your password has been compromised or stolen.


The Patient History Record is added to your electronic medical record. Once you have set-up your TripMedic account, you will also be able to add any pertinent medical data to your electronic medical record.


Important – when you register as a customer and/or set-up your TripMedic account to access your electronic medical record, you must provide true, correct, up-to-date and complete information. You also agree not to post, publish, transmit or communicate messages that might involve a criminal offence or that could be detrimental to the Company.


The data in your record may include:

  • Personal data such as name, age, address and other contact details;
  • Any clinically relevant information such as smoking, alcohol consumption and weight;
  • Information about appointments made on your behalf such as date, time, location, name of medical professional and/or medical entity etc…;
  • Consultation notes which the medical professional takes during an appointment unless these are subject to professional privilege and the medical professional decides against disclosing them to the Company;
  • Treatments received and/or ongoing treatments;
  • Medicines taken and/or medicines that have been prescribed and any known reactions to medications in the past;
  • Information about allergies and/or chronic conditions;
  • Medical test results such as blood tests and x-rays

The Company confirms that all personal data including sensitive personal data that it collects on you throughout the course of this Agreement, is kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, loaned or otherwise disclosed unless clearly indicated when collected or in the case that you have given your explicit written consent.


You have the right to apply to see, or have a copy of your medical record and all other data the Company holds on you, at any time. This is called a Subject Access Request. A detailed explanation about your rights and how the Company safeguards your personal information is given in the Privacy Policy.


Registering with the Company is totally free. The Company does not charge you for any of the booking services it offers. This means that TripMedic will be available to book your medical appointments every time you travel or even if you are an expatriate living in a foreign country since we have a wide range of medical professionals cooperating with us, located internationally and speaking your language.


Moreover, as a registered user of the TripMedic portal, you also have access to the company’s basic medical data repository system, free of charge. This means that you may store most of your medical data on your TripMedic account, for as long as you wish without paying any fees and you may securely access your account online as often as required.


Apart from these free services, TripMedic also offers you the possibility to subscribe to additional paying services at will.


Of course, you will be asked to pay the fees charged by the medical professional, clinic or hospital and which are at their sole discretion. The Company does not influence in any way the fees charged. By signing this agreement you understand and accept that you will assume all the costs of all the medical care and health services you receive and the Company will in no case cover any costs, charges or fees on your behalf.


The Company does not get involved with medical insurance claims. If you are covered by an insurance policy which can intervene to cover some or all of your costs, you must inform the medical professional, clinic or hospital treating you. It is also highly recommended that you inquire with your insurance prior to the appointment about the procedure for making a medical claim.


The Company will not be liable for any cancelled or otherwise unfulfilled appointments and the medical professional, clinic or hospital has the right to charge a cancellation or no-show fee if the booking is not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. To cancel an appointment you must email Since no-shows disrupt the efficiency of our services and the availability of the medical professionals to the detriment of the other customers, we will resend you an appointment notification by email and/or sms 24hrs before the scheduled appointment time. This message will also include a reminder of our cancellation procedure.


The Company encourages feedback because it ensures that the services offered by TripMedic are constantly improved upon. If you wish to share your views and experiences about the services offered by TripMedic, simply complete the Feedback Form in the Patients section of the website. Many medical professionals, clinics and hospitals have their own feedback forms available at their premises, however you may also submit your comments on the medical services you have received by completing the Patient Feedback Form. We strongly suggest that you discuss any concerns relating to the medical services received, directly with the provider of the service at their premises, during your appointment.

Limitations of liability

The Company works as an independent referral provider and as such cooperates with various medical professionals, clinics and hospitals to render its services to its customers. There is however no partnership, joint venture, employer/employee, principal and agent or any similar relationship between the Company and the medical professionals, clinics and hospitals. By signing this User Agreement, you confirm that you shall hold harmless and indemnify the Company, its officers, directors, successors and employees from and against any and all liabilities, costs, damage expenses, and lawyers’ fees of any kind, character or nature resulting from or attributable to any and all acts and/or omissions committed by the medical professional, clinic or hospital in the course of providing his/her/its medical services to you, the Customer.


Moreover, under no circumstances shall the Company or any of its officers, directors, successors, employees, affiliates or third parties with whom it cooperates, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages resulting from the use of or the inability to use the website and/or any of the Company’s services or for the cost of procurement of substitute services or resulting from unauthorised access to or alteration of your data.

Related to the Video Assistance Service,

HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. through the TripMedic portal offers information and is a technological means enabling Users requiring a non-emergency medical service to connect with Doctors who offer a general practitioner or specialist service in an entirely autonomous way and therefore they exempt HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. from any kind of liability. HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. does not provide and does not intend to provide medical, healthcare nor emergency services, nor does it intend to act in any way such as a clinic, a healthcare nor a first aid facility. HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. does not take any responsibility for any potential medical or healthcare services offered by the Doctors, who provide their services in a totally autonomous way, being self-employed and not to be considered as an employee of HEALTH CONNECTION S.L.

2.1.2 The Doctors and the Health professionals acknowledge and accept that HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. acts exclusively as a technological means to which they give a mandate to collect payment for the online assistance and they also exempt HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. from any liability.

The Doctors and the Health professionals shall be exclusively responsible for any and all liability arising, or presumed to be so, from the medical or from the healthcare service, including, but not limited to injuries, deaths and damage to property.

The physician agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. from and against any (potential) expense or (potential) damage incurred in by third parties, including Users or Doctors, for any consequences resulting from the supply of the medical healthcare services.

By supplying the Medical Services to the User, the Doctor agrees, recognizes and undersigns the conclusion of a direct and exclusive contract between the Doctor and the User. HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. will not be held liable for actions, omissions and Users’ behavior in relation to the Doctors and their working tools. Doctors are held exclusively responsible for the adoption of reasonable and adequate precautions in interactions with third parties in relation to the medical services. Should this division of the mutual responsibilities of the Parties result ineffective under the applicable law, the Doctor or Clinic shall indemnify, defend and hold HEALTH CONNECTION S.L. harmless from and against any claim filed against HEALTH CONNECTION S.L., in relation to the provisions concerning the Doctor regarding the Medical Service and under applicable law.

The Doctors through liability waiver provide their registration in the medical register and the number of their medical professional insurance.


The Company may modify this User Agreement and Privacy Policy at any time at its sole discretion and any such updates or modifications will be notified to you promptly by email. The modified document will also be published on the TripMedic website.


Similarly, if any of your contact information changes, you are requested to notify the Company immediately by sending an email to or by updating your records directly on the website. To do this you must access your TripMedic account using your credentials.


The Company may terminate or suspend your TripMedic account and/or your registration as a user of the website, without notice, if there has been a serious violation of these terms and conditions or if it is necessary to safeguard your interests and your personal data.

You also have the right to stop using our services at any time and you may do so through one or more of the following options:

  • If you have a TripMedic account you may delete it along with your profile and credentials by choosing the ‘Delete my account’ option in your account;
  • If you would like the Company to delete all your personal data (including your electronic health record) permanently, you must make an explicit request, that is, a request in writing either by email to Please note that deleting your online TripMedic account doesn’t automatically delete all your personal data which is held on your behalf by the Company.
  • If you would like to suspend your account for a period of time, no action on your part will be required. The Company will safeguard your personal data for up to 5 years, after which time if there is no activity in your account or you have not made use of our services, we will contact you to suspend your accounts and delete all data.


This User Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of Spain. In the event that any provision of this agreement is determined to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, then that provision shall be severable from this agreement without affecting the enforceability of all remaining provisions and such illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable.
